About Summer Studio at the University of Guelph

This program will allow you the time and space to work independently in large, well-lit studios, utilizing some of the best equipment to which you will have 24/7 access.

Why Join us in the Summer Studio?

The goal of this program is to:

  • Provide you with excellent studio spaces to complete work
  • Utilize equipment not accessible to the general public, such as printing presses
  • Engage with faculty who are experts in their field
  • Learn from other attendees with different skillsets
  • Develop your knowledge as a practitioner from new artistic approaches to grant writing
  • Enhance your portfolio or simply your experience.

Coursework

During the summer studio program:

  • You will have no specific assignments or course syllabus to read.
  • You will not be graded on your work.
  • There is no expectation for the amount of work you complete.
  • This is a non-competitive program
  • All readings, seminars, or homework will be optional. If you choose to participate, readings will be discussed with you in the individual meetings with Faculty.
