About Summer Studio at the University of Guelph
This program will allow you the time and space to work independently in large, well-lit studios, utilizing some of the best equipment to which you will have 24/7 access.
Why Join us in the Summer Studio?
The goal of this program is to:
- Provide you with excellent studio spaces to complete work
- Utilize equipment not accessible to the general public, such as printing presses
- Engage with faculty who are experts in their field
- Learn from other attendees with different skillsets
- Develop your knowledge as a practitioner from new artistic approaches to grant writing
- Enhance your portfolio or simply your experience.

Coursework
During the summer studio program:
- You will have no specific assignments or course syllabus to read.
- You will not be graded on your work.
- There is no expectation for the amount of work you complete.
- This is a non-competitive program
- All readings, seminars, or homework will be optional. If you choose to participate, readings will be discussed with you in the individual meetings with Faculty.
